This invention provides a non-injection carcinostatic agent containing a 5-fluorouracil and an oxonic acid or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof as the active ingredients adapted for use in suppressing the occurrence of inflammation due to the 5-fluorouracil and a method for curing cancer while suppressing the occurrence of such inflammation.
