APPARATUS FOR CONVERTING A-LAW TO U-LAW IN PCM MULTIFLEXING SYSTEM

The apparatus is for interfacing the different transmission type by depositing a modulator between the transmission lines. The modulator modulates the -type applied to PCM multiple system to A-type applied in Europe and vice-versa. The modulator inclludes a time signal generator (20) for generating timing signal by dividing a frame synchronous clock and clock pulse of the transmitted data, a control unit (30) for checking the transmitting data by receiving the data using a time switch (40) and a timing signal of the time signal generator (20), and stopping or executing the A/ modulation according to the channel throug which the data is transmitted, and a modulator (10) for transmitting and receiving the serial data, executing the A/ modulation of an audio PCM channel and transmitting the modulated audio PCM channel through the TDM bus.
