The syringe with a piston (2) sliding inside a tubular body (1) and an injection needle (4) protruding from the front, has a saftey cover (6) protecting the needle and a similar cover (10) protecting the push button (9) at the end of the piston rod (3). After the second cover (10) has been removed from the push button so that the piston can be retracted, it can be used to protect the needle after use. This cover has an internal ring of teeth (19) which interlock with a ring of teeth (20) on the outside of a bush (5) forming the front part of the body. ADVANTAGE - The syringe is prevented from causing harm such as infection during handling after use.
