Hospital mattress of modular structure - has box frame to take different modular inserts, and watertight foil

The mattress comprises a modular structure with a box-like frame (1) conforming with the outer dimensions of a standard mattress and covered underneath with a watertight foil (2). The frame contains at least one modular insert (3 to 10) which forms at least partially a bed surface. The modular inserts can be a basic cushion supporting several further inserts which make up the bed surface. ADVANTAGE - The basic mattress can be adapted to different patient requirements.
