Cosmetic compsn. contains as active ingredients a biocomplex (A) contg. placental extract, thymus peptids and highly-polymerised DNA, plus a phytocomplex (B) contg. a mixt. of flavonoid-contg. plant extracts. The compsns. contain 0.5-15% (A) and 0.05-15% (B). (A) contains (by wt.) 4-12 (8)% placental extract: 4-12 (8)% thymus peptides; 0.5-3 (2)% DNA and the balance water. (B) contains (by wt.) 30-70 (50)% each of glycol extracts of coltsfoot and of hawthorn. USE/ADVANTAGE - The compsn. improves cellular metabolism, cell multiplication and cutaneous microcirculation, and also prevents aging of the skin by neutralising the effects of free radicals. The high mol. wt. DNA (e.g. from fish roe) has a better hydrating action than DNA usually used, and also has some healing effect. Complex (B) protects against UV light and chemically-generated free radicals.
