In the method for the production of wood laminate shapes with small-radius curves (small-radius arcs) and curved shapes (arc shapes) by producing flexibility, bending and bonding of wood lamellae, the flexibility is produced by coupling electric heating and steam throughflow in hoods at a temperature lying around or above the water evaporating point, to prevent condensate formation and to obtain a wood dampness which can be used for the bonding. The bending, bonding and pressing takes place within the temporarily limited flexibility after the steaming, by apparatus and arrangement. The bending and pressing is produced between tough, resilient rails by means of tensile stress and bending pressure through arms in the convex region, and by means of compressive stress in the concave region, in order to obtain a closed-joint and radial bending development via an inner mould. The bending and pressing apparatus comprises bending arms and webs or plates, into which the lamellae, which have been previously bonded by bonding rollers, are inserted in bundles and guided during the bending process. Rope tension brings about, in the convex bending region, the pressing against the inner mould. Pressure-limiting templates limit the rope pressure and prevent deformation of the curves. The leg pressing takes place by means of pressure beams, the anchored bending arms serving as thrust bearings.
