PURPOSE:To produce the titled polyester which undergoes no phase transition upon temperature rise or fall, by crosslinking a specified polyester composition with a polyfunctional corsslinking compound. CONSTITUTION:A thermotropic liquid crystal polyester composition comprising a thermotropic liquid crystal polyester (A) which shows anisotropy when molten and has a weight-average MW of 2,000-200,000 and a relative viscosity of 2.0-10.0dl/g or a thermotropic liquid crystal low-MW ester compound (B) of formula I (wherein X and Y are ester bonds and A and B are alkoxy, alkyl, halogen atoms or alkoxycarbonyls) which has a MW=2,000 and a polyester is crosslinked with a compound (C) having at least three reactive functional groups, represented by formula II, III or the like in the presence of a reaction catalyst (e.g., tert. amine).
