New asymmetrical 1:2-Cr complex dyestuffs are derived from 2-nitro- or -chloro-4-amino-, aryloxy- or alkyl-sulphonyl-phenol (6-azo-4) 3-substd. pyrazolone and sulphonated phenol or benzoic acid (2-azo-4) pyrazolone cpds. and are of formula (I). In (I), X = NH2, opt. mono- or di-substd. by (cyclo)alkyl or ar(alk)yl, aryloxy or alkyl; Y = NO2 or Cl; R1 and R4 = alkyl, aryl, COOH, carbamoyl, CN or carboxylate ester; R2 and R3 = H, alkyl or aryl; n = 0 or 1; Ka(+) = a cation; the sulpho gp. is attached to ring A or to R3 if this = aryl; ring A and the R2 and R3, if these = aryl, can have other substits., e.g. acylamino, sulphamoyl, carbamoyl, alkylsulphonyl, arylsulphonyl, alkyl, alkoxy, NO2 or Cl.
