Joint prosthesis intended to be implanted by cementing, in particular hip joint prosthesis. The joint prosthesis possesses a stem that can be inserted in the medullary canal of a joint bone, a termination plate and a joint ball part or a joint ball connection part. The stem with the termination plate is made of a titanium alloy. The implanted stem including the termination plate has loading zones and zones of reduced load-bearing capacity. At least the loading zones are provided with a hardened surface layer. IMAGE
