The present invention relates to a heat exchanger tube (1) having a wall thickness of less than 0.5 mm, preferably 0.3 mm, and to a heat exchanger produced therefrom. Such heat exchanger tubes (1) are technically feasible, require less material and improve the exchange of heat by comparison with tubes of greater wall thickness. However, problems arise in fastening such tubes in tube bottoms (6) which generally comes about due to widening. In order to confront this problem, the heat exchanger tubes (1) according to the invention, which have thicker walls, are either provided with two additional welded-on ends (3), which have thicker walls and are attached by means of circular welds (5), or are reinforced with insert sleeves (33). The end regions have a length of, for example, 5 cm and can easily be mounted in tube bottoms (6) using conventional methods. IMAGE
