Slide fastener with two helical rows of teeth made of plastic monofilament, the teeth basted together by connection parts in each case having a coupling eyelet which consists of a lower leg on the carrying tape side, an upper leg and a coupling head, and with two knitted carrying tapes. The rows of teeth lie on the carrying tapes with the coupling heads protruding over the inside carrying tape edges. Stitch wales lying in the carrying tapes are connected to one another by means of weft threads. The teeth are connected to the carrying tapes with the aid of tie-in stitch wales engaging jointly over the upper legs of the teeth and the underlying areas of the lower legs, these tie-in stitch wales being knitted into the carrying tapes. The lower legs of the teeth are engaged by at least one additional, separate lower leg stitch wale to form a filling thread, the lower leg stitch wale being knitted into the associated carrying tape alongside or between the tie-in stitch wales. In each stitch course the stitches of every second stitch wale (regardless of whether it is a tie-in stitch wale or a lower leg stitch wale) are offset by a part stitch in relation to the stitches of every first stitch wale.
