A pair of components subjected to parallel, radial vibration (Z) are joined by a hydraulic damper, which produces hydraulic shear action between the two components. A shear plate (1), fixed to one component is covered by a layer of elastic material (4). A second component (5) is located some distance from the shear plate to produce a narrow gap (2) which is filled with a shearing action liq. (7). A folding diaphragm (3) which is an integral part of the elastic layer, forms the edge seal for the liq. filled gap both ends. ADVANTAGE - Simple and effective HF vibration insulation.
