Ureter drainage set - with pig tail catheter and guide wire

A drainage rail (1) e.g. for use as a pig tail catheter or in ureter drainage, is made of plastic material or silicone with drainage openings (38). It is introduced by a hollow guide wire (3,5) with a two-part handle (2,14). A brass sleeve (6) at the distal end (4) carries an expanding element (7), made of PTFE or polyacetal resin DELRIN(RTM) with stabiliser or pigment additives. A wire (16) is joined to a brass sleeve (17) which can be pulled into the expanding arm (11) by turning the thread (21,22). A conventional spiral guide wire (18) is joined to the distal end of the sleeve (17). ADVANTAGE - This creates a complete drainage set for the introduction of a drainage rail.
