An arrangement of boxes is placed either at the side of or over the stretch of road, with speed restrictions, to be monitored. The attendant's box is linked to the two boxes housing the equipment. Pref. the boxes are clearly marked to be instantly recognisable, and house, e.g. a battery, central controller, flashing light, camera, videocamera, radar equipment and antenna (12). Additionally, the opening side of the cabinet is locked through a hinged or sliding cover, and the housing is trihedron shaped and mounted on a clearly marked post.
