New dye resins for affinity chromatography - prepd. from reactive dye and macroporous acrylic resin

New dye resins (I) are prepd. by reacting a reactive dye (II) with beads of a macroporous resin (III) selected from (a) poly(meth)acrylate esters opt. substd. by epoxy, OH and/or NH gps. and (b) poly(meth)acrylamides, opt. substd. by NH or OH gps. (II) is a dye contg. a halogenated N-heterocyclic gp., e.g. dichlorotriazine, trifluoro-chloropyrimidine or 2,3-dichloroquinoxaline. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are useful as adsorbents for affinity chromatography, e.g. for sepn. of amino acids or proteins. They have high ligand specificity and good chemical, thermal and mechanical stability.
