The method of increasing the efficiency of programmable memory controllers involves only processing a bit instruction, which follows another bit instruction and forms part of a chain of instructions, when it can influence the overall result of the chain of instructions. A simple logical combination unit is achieved through a reduction to two basic operations. An implementation is achieved with existing systems using an optimising converter.
