An intelligent control and regulation system for complex electrical drives has each element of the drive system compactly installed in a screened housing of a control and regulation computer. The system contains measurement devices, power electronics and drive units which can be logically interconnected. The electrical power supplies for the individual elements can be decentralised and implemented as different types of power source. The logical connections are realised using standard interfaces and protocols. USE/ADVANTAGE - Control and regulation of several motors, pref. electric motors. The system eliminates complex cabling and reduces noise sensitivity.
