Leak testing for vertical tank or tank colony - detecting pressure differences between point in liq. and point coupled to gas cushion via liq. at regular intervals

The liq. contents are determined at timed intervals. A display is activated if a max. permissible change in contents is exceeded. Pressure differences between a point in the liq. and a point connected to a gas cushion via the liq. in the tank are ascertained at regular intervals. Changes in the pressure differences are recorded and normalised taking into account the timed intervals. The method tests if the time normalised liq. mass charges attain the stipulated value normalised to the same intervals. If exceeded, a display is activated. The pressure difference measurer (3) supplies electrical measurement signals to an electrical signal processing assembly (9, 10, 11, 12) including an a-d converter (9). ADVANTAGE - At low technical cost, enables even small leaks to be detected including cases where the temp. of the tank contents changes during the test procedure.
