Double-walled line pipe - made of specified material for both pipes and is monitored for leakage

A double-walled line pipe (1) is made of crosslinked polyolefin for the inner pipe (2) with a flange (3) and an outer pipe (4) made of rust resistant alloy steel and with a connecting flange (5). The latter has a recess (8) for the flange (3). An annular space (6) between two walls is either evacuated or filled with an inert gas. Its state is superintended by a monitoring sonde (7). Several bolts (9) join this pipe tightly to the fitting (10). ADVANTAGE - This permits the transmission of a wide range of corrosive media and monitors the pipe for leakage.
