Workpieces mounted on pallets (24) are transported by a conveyor consisting of two parallel endless belts (20, 22). The pallets are removed, one at a time from the conveyor belt (20, 22) by a slider (62). The slider consists of a pneumatic cylinder with two fixed pistons with the piston rods (36) projecting from opposite ends of the slider. The slider, together with the piston rods, can be rotated about the longitudinal axis. The pallets are brought to rest by stops (96, 98), and then arms (66) attached to the slider are swung down between adjacent pallets. The slider is then moved longitudinally to push the end pallet off the conveyor belts. USE - Transport of workpieces.
