The shaft (5) sealing-ring has a sealing-lip (4) with a sealing-edge (2). The helical pieces (3) together with the sealing edge (2) have contact-surfaces resting against the shaft (5). The ratio of the sealing edge (2) contact surfaces to the contact surfaces of the helical pieces changes by at most 35%.
