Cursor controller for visual display screen - uses mouse with selectors to allow suppression of X and Y axis motions

The movement of a cursor on the screen of a VDU is made using a hand held mouse that allows movements in X and Y directions. The mouse is fitted with additional selection keys that permit either the X or Y axis movements to be suppressed. For example, in the event that a move along a vertical line is being made the X axis movement is supporessed by operating the selector. At the end of the move a return to normal two axis operation is made. ADVANTAGE - Reduces effect of hand movement on cursor location.
