The transmitter (2) has upper and lower parts (3,4, resp.). The upper part (3) has shaped cutout (9) to allow access to switch (18) and view display (23). Further cutouts (11,12) accommodate chain (14) which may also serve as the antenna (15). In partic., the user carries the transmitter (1) which is used to operate the release mechanism of the rescue device. Pref., the transmitter only operates after the release of a safety catch.
