Flexible mat made in long lengths - is for use on railway tracks for sound proofing and has smooth protective finish and reinforced inlay with hollow voids

The flexible mat is designed to be produced in long lengths. It has a smooth protective layer, (1) on its upper surface and a reinforced inlay. The mat is produced in one piece with hollow voids (4,5) running transversely, these voids being triangular in section so the webs of mat material separating them form a woven truss. Alternately various arrangements of cylindrical voids may be used. Semicircular action - or even H-section voids may also be used. USE/ADVANTAGE - Flexible mat is not damaged by ballast when used on railway tracks for sound proofing.
