Automatic manipulating equipment, and particularly equipment for removing products from their productive machinery, and notably for demoulding injection mouldings, has at least one longitudinally moved arm with an end device to pick up the article concerned. The arm has a component and a secondary arm moving relative to it longitudinally which has a pick-up for the article; the position between this component and the second arm is recorded by an instrument which is linked to a controller for the drive of the arm. ADVANTAGE - The equipment utilises the force which grips the article being demoulded to move the arm. It minimises the loads required even when using high accelerations or very heavy arms. The figure shows the first arm (18), toothed (20) for its drive mechanism (19); it (18) holds (23) a section (24) which has its own drive (26) for vertical motion. The bottom of this section (24) has a member (28) with a secondary arm (27) which moves, its position being recorded by the instrument (29). A signal from the instrument (29) is passed to the regulator (31) and there converted to a control action on the drive (19). Force (F) on a moulding moves the secondary arm (27), whereby its position is signalled to the regulator (31).
