The magnetic valve switching control with the valves coupled in groups, uses the measured electrical characteristics of the magnetic valve operating coils during switching in, with evaluation of the measured valves via an electronic evaluation. Pref. the evaluation is effected by comparing the gradient of the obtained current after switching in the valves with defined limit valves, to initiate switching out of the valves when the limit valves are exceded.
