An ear care kit for preventing Otitis externa (inflammation of the outer ear canal) in those taking part in water sports, comprising a substance (I) which is hydrophobic and which is in a suitable form for application to the auditory canal to render it water-repellent, and a substance (II) which neutralises water and other substances which have penetrated into the ear and cleans the auditory canal. USE/ADVANTAGE - Use of the kit by those indulging in water sports avoids the development of Otitis externa, which is a painful condition that is difficult to treat once it has been contracted.
