The redundant overfilling protection arrangement contains mutually independent electrical control chains, each consisting of limit generators with capacitive or other types of alarm probe, a switching amplifier, display and independent monitor. A microprocessor interrogates all probes (8-11) before the filling process. Each probe is monitored by an associated circuit during the filling process which is interrupted if a probe failure is detected. The probes are connected to an external electrical connector via a press. tight, heat resistant flange lead-through (26). USE/ADVANTAGE - Performs actively redundant overfill protection for dangerous liquids and liquefied gases, providing manual alarm and automatic cutoff.
