The expander tie-piece (5) fitting into a cylindrical hole (2) has an outer thread at the fixture-end and a tie-piece (9) at the inserted end (8). At least two expander-cones (10, 11) are axially aligned and widen towards the inserted end (8), and each have an expander piece (16, 25) in the shape of an axially slit sleeve-type ring. The first expander section (16) nearer the inserted end (8) has a greater axial length than the expander piece (25) further from the inserted end (8). The overlay part (22, 28) of the expander-cone (11) has a shorter axial length than the overlay part (13) belonging to the first expander piece (13) which has profiling (14) with peripheral recesses (15). ADVANTAGE - The expander tie piece is easily produced and assembled and guarantees a better fixture in parts liable to cracking.
