The roller shutter consists of two parallel webs, one facing outside and the other one inside. The webs (1,2) are made from heavy material, pref. filled thermoplastics, and are joined together by a mat of open-pore soft foam or felt. The mat (3,8) is traversed by mutually parallel horizontal passages (4,5;9,10) from one side edge to the other one, and every second channel (4,10) has outside air inlets towards the shutter side guides. The intervening passages (5,9) lead outside air into the building through holes (7,13) through the inner shutter web (2). The passages are interconnected by vertical openings (6,12), parallel to the shutter web plane. ADVANTAGE - Sound insulation combined with air supply.
