An arrangement for remote indication of the liquid levels in stationary or movable containers has an immersion unit (I) which transfers the level (A) via a connecting tube (1) to a display (II) using gas pressure. The immersion unit has a flat cylindrical chamber (2) whose contents above the gas outflow plane (C) and a plane (D) beneath the cover correspond to the max. vol. change for the max. expected air pressure and internal chamberr temp. variation. ADVANTAGE - Achieves compromise between adequate display damping and sufficiently rapid response during loss of oil and refilling.
