Toxic gas scrubbing process - removes unwanted toxic ingredients by rotating active carbon filter, recycling part of scrubbed gas

In a variety of chemical processes gases are generated which bear unwanted toxic radioactive ingredients which are removed by means of a rotating active carbon filter. Part of the scrubbed gas flow is returned to the adsorbent, which it regenerates. This portion of the gas flow is then collected in a sealed container. USE/ADVANTAGE - There is no requirement for an additional supply of clean gas for use as a cleansing agent. Only a small portion of the gas becomes contaminated with radioactive materials. Operational requirements, the size and complexity of the equipment required, are reduced. The only gas which comes into contact with radioactive materials remains restricted to that portion of the gas which is piped to the scrubbing process.
