An arrangement for measuring and eliminating imbalances in rotating bodies, pref. in a space vehicle, contains a balance wt. which is movable on the rotating body during operation. Pendulum motion of the space vehicle caused by the imbalance is measured by an acceleration sensor of an inertial angular position sensor. Balancing involves moving wts. on the rotating body using linear drives, each moving a pair of weights tangentially and radially w.r.t. the rotor axis. Movements of weights in a pair are of opposite sense to avoid static imbalance generation. USE/ADVANTAGE - Automatic balancing during operation.
