The arrangement for achieving intensity distributions similar to those of objects contains an image converter directed at an object under investigation and a camera which acquires images of the image converter's output screen. The image converter, which can be moved relative to the object, has a mask applied to its output screen to accurately define the radiating surface of the screen. The mask is opaque outside the defined region. USE/ADVANTAGE - Generating X-ray images. Enables X-ray photographs to be made which are free of artifacts.
