In each switch assembly (I, II) for the bus-bars (1a, 1b) an in-built plug contact piece (3) is provided inside the housing (4a, 4b). A cover (5) seals the output opening (16), and is removed during the connecting together of the assemblies. Coupling lines (2) are encapsulated in a connecting bridge (11) sealing together the output openings (16) of the assemblies, and filled with insulating gas. The contacts may be extensions of the bus-bars, with coaxial connectors, as may be perpendicular to the bar axis, being coupled via U-shaped connection. -
