An equalizer for the precision positioning of an automat comprises two base plates (10,12) between which there is a torsion safety device containing an intermediate element (15). This device (15) is connected by a parallelogram shaped first intermediate pair of levers (16,17) with the first base plate (10), and a second parallelogram shaped pair of levers (20,21) with the second base plate (12). The two pairs of levers (16,17,20,21) with respect to the centre (14) of the base plates (10,12), are set at right angles. USE/ADVANTAGE - A smooth equalizer with a higher torque moment.
