Thixotropic form aluminium hydroxy-thiocyanate gel - astringent and microbicide useful for treating wounds, with no side effects

Al hydroxythiocyanate gel (I) is in a thixotropic state with an Al-thiocyanate ratio of 8-2:1. Al-thiocyanate ratio is pref. 5:1 and (I) also contains an alkali(ne earth) element of ratio to thiocyanate being 1:1-2. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) is an astringent and microbicide used for treatment of wounds. (I) are effective against the usual microbicidal irritants in wounds, e.g. S. aureus, E. Coli, P. aeruginose and Candida albicans. 2 hours after treatment of wounds with (I) a noticeable redn. in the microbe population is observed. (I) are easy to apply to the wound, have quick action and show no side effects.
