The television system has a receiver (2) connected to inputs from a cable (10), antenna (8) and video camera (22) and an output to a display/monitor (16). Receiver selects, processes and demodulates TV pictures from all three sources. In particular, the TV receiver (2) includes memories (21a, b, c) to enable storage of a complete TV picture, and switches (26a, b, c, 12) to enable playback of single picture frames.
