Printing and/or text processing system housing - has upper and lower parts with stabilising flange joint for stability and torsional stiffness

The housing for the hardware or hardware components of printer and/or text processing systems consists of a lower housing part (1) with support elements and an upper housing part (2) which can be connected to it. A coupling and stabilising fitting (3) around the housing corresp. to the separating plane between the upper and lower parts protrudes beyond the housing profile. The fitting consists of a lower flange (4) formed on the lower housing part and a matching cover flange (5) formed on the upper part. USE/ADVANTAGE - High stability and torsional stiffness are achieved with high manufacturing efficiency and without using thick walls.
