Prodn. of equipment for cylinder or cone casing - uses flat sheet section between upper tool and die bent in stages along straight bending path

Bending of the casing in the individual stages occurs by means of a rolling movement. An upper tool is used (1) and is pivotably fitted around a vertical axis to the die straight line (6), the bending tool (5) incorporated having a circular arc-shaped lower edge (10) in the direction of the pivot axis. The upper tool is made to roll from one end to the other of the bending tool lower edge (10). It is activated by two hydraulic cylinder and piston arrangements (11,12) which are connected to a coordinated control unit. USE - To produce a cylindrical or conical casing from a flat sheet section.
