Calibrating electronic scales using calibrated weights - recording coded wt. value, loading point on pan, displayed wt. and calibrating datum as protocol on data carrier
Calibrating electronic scales using calibrated weights - recording coded wt. value, loading point on pan, displayed wt. and calibrating datum as protocol on data carrier
Calibrated weights (14) are placed on prescribed points on the weighing pan in a prescribed sequence. A batch of weights is used, with their values identifiable by codes. The value of the calibrated wt., the load point of the pan, the indicated wt. in the scales as well as the calibrating datum as a calibration protocol are stored on a data carrier for each calibrating load carried out. The displayed wt. is compared with the coded value of the calibrated wt. by means of a comparator (17). If the displayed wt. lies outside a permissible error limit, a blocking unit is made effective preventing the scales being used further. USE - Self calibration by manufacturer and/or user.
