The wall plug has a part (2) which spreads with pressure to fix the plug in a cylindrical or conical bore hole (17), forming a conical section. The wall plug has a long shell with bore hole (17) running axially along it (17) and has a inner thread (4), and it narrows as it nears the end. In the region of the front end, are long slits (2) which spread out when the insert (7) which applies the spreading force is driven home. Next to the insert (7) is a second insert (11) to equalise the spreading pressure. The second insert (11) also has a bore running through it and forms a ring reinforcement or continuous body (12) to the rear of the thread, so that the plug does not deform in the thread section when the securing screw (15) is driven in, but deforms after reaching the highest possible spreading pressure in the spreading region of the wall plug (1) in the region of the bore lining (10), forming a spread, compressed or seamed deformation (16) between the screw (15) and spreading insert (7). USE/ADVANTAGE - Wall plug or dowel. The pressure equalising insert works effectively against the spreader insert.
