Reaction tank uses air to treat sludge. At bottom of tank is grid made of beams which run along and across flat floor. Cross beams extend to floor of tank, but longitudiunal beams are not as deep and there is a gap between them and the floor. ADVANTAGE - Tank is simple to construct. Air is evenly distributed without using nozzles or diffusers.
