Ion exchanger granulate for radio caesium decontamination of liquid - e.g. whey permeate, consisting of ammonium copper hexa:cyano-ferrate on resin base

Ion exchanger granulate consists of ammonium-Cu hexacyanoferrate (I), bound to a plastics substrate. The granulate is prepd. by mixing the plastics substrate first with (NH4)4Fe(CN)6 soln. and then with Cu(NO3)2 soln. and repeating this procedure up to 8 times. USE/ADVANTAGE - The granulate is claimed for radio-Cs decontamination of liquids, esp. whey permeate. (I) is highly selective for removing Cs+ by ion exchange with NH4+ in the presence of other cations. The granulate is suitable for technical and large technical scale use.
