The braking installation exploits the pressure wave generated in a dielectric liq. (e.g. transformer oil or distilled water) filling a cylinder (HZ), when a radiofrequency discharge is set up in it.$ The pressure wave impinges on the head of a piston (K) sliding within sealing rings (DR) to overcome the opposition of a helical spring (DF), and to bring the brake shoes (BB) to bear upon the brake drum (BT).$ ADVANTAGE - Device fulfils requirements of antilock braking systems with electronic control or any type of vehicle as well as high-speed trains and heavy goods vehicles.
