The system consists of a mixt. and treatment process which takes place in one lower nad two upper chambers in a vertical cylindrical tube. The lower chamber communicates with the first of the two upper chambers, each of which is fitted with an agitator, via a central duct. This first upper chamber is provided with an inlet for the raw water and receives a sepg. agent from the lower chamber. It further communicates with the second upper chamber via an opening near its base, and this third chamber has an upper outlet through which the treated water passes to a bag filter. Below the bag filter is a funnel which receives the filtered water and passes it to a drainage channel. A number of filter bags may be used and the inlets leading to them may be controlled by valves. Level probes may be used to stop the device when the filter bag needs changing. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for cleaning chemically or physically contaminated water before it is disposed of into a drainage channel. It has the advantages that the water is treated so that it does not readily clog the pores of the filter bags, and that the bags can easily be exchanged for cleaning. The bags are also covered, which prevents the escape of undesirable smells.
