In the prodn. of laminar adhesive films the volatiles of the material are drawn off by heating and/or applying a vacuum, the successive layers after the first are applied directly onto their previous layers respectively. The initial layer is pref. applied to a non-stick/silicone-treated paper. ADVANTAGE - The products have high elasticity and resistance to solvents and to splitting. They are largely free from blisters. The prodn. process is operated at relatively high speed and is correspondingly inexpensive.
