A control device is provided for the inlet feed system to the mill rolls, and regulates the inlet flow of grain so as to keep the power consumed by the motor driving the mill rolls to a constant value. USE/ADVANTAGE - This invention is used in mills for grinding malted barley in the manufacture of beer, and especially in wet grinding of the malt. The mill is controlled so that the milled product is of uniform high quality in spite of continuously varying malt characteristics.
