The invention relates to wooden ceiling spars onto which the ceiling panels are attached. The ceiling spars consists of a beam (1) on both of which and located approximately in the centre are angled metal rails (2). The horizontally projecting shank of the angled rails (2) serves as a support for the ceiling panels (3). A U-shaped plastic foam profile (4) esp. of polystyrene with a simulated wood finish is slotted around the lower half of the beam (1) section and bonded to it. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used as a support for ceiling panels. Inexpensive, stable and has the appearance of a rustic beam.
