The plastics fuel tank (1) is for a vehicle. It has a branched inlet connection piece (3). The connection piece incorporates a filling pipe (8) as well as a normal operation vent pipe (7) and a ventpipe (14) for use when filling the tank. Both vent pipes are formed with integral expansion chambers, the normal operation vent chamber enclosing the filling pipe. The vent pipes, which are joined at the free end of the connection piece, are formed either side of the filling pipe. USE/ADVANTAGE - The integral construction reduces cost and is more reliable.
